Description : PhD fellowships (Lichtenberg-Stipendien) are available in the newly founded International PhD program Catalysis for Sustainable Synthesis (CaSuS) funded by the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony at Georg-August-University Göttingen. We are seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for research projects in the Institutes of Inorganic Chemistry, Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. The interdisciplinary program provides exciting research opportunities in the field of catalysis chemistry with main focus on molecular catalysis. The high-level teaching program contains lectures and courses in all relevant state-of-the-art technologies as well as excursions, conferences and secondary skill courses. The program is intended for selected applicants from all countries holding an excellent academic degree (Master degree, German Diplom or equivalent) in chemistry or closely related fields. It provides fellowships of Euro 1.500 per month for up to 3 years. The program starts in October 2009 and application deadline is 15th of August.
