You will conduct advanced research within one or more of Arché’s current research projects.

The position will be a one-quarter fixed-term position (with duration of 5 years) for a scholar of the highest international distinction in research. The Professorial Fellow will visit St. Andrews for a period of five teaching weeks in either of Arché’s two semesters, contributing to undergraduate and graduate teaching in the School of Philosophical, Anthropological & Film Studies, and presenting a series of research seminars within one of Arché’s three current research projects, on Contextualism & Relativism, Philosophical Methodology and Foundations of Logical Consequence. The successful candidate will have a distinguished track record of work, and be active in research, in at least two of these project areas, and will be competent to participate in all three.

The Professorial Fellowship will provide a stipend of £12,000 per annum, a sum intended to cover the cost of travel to St. Andrews, and accommodation and living expenses during residence.
