The research will be performed at the Atherosclerosis and Metabolism Unit in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.Application date: 2009-09-12

inflammation. The project involves intervention studies with nutriceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Gene profiling
requires microarray and quantitative RT-PCR analysis of RNA and regulatory microRNA. Findings in mouse studies are
validated in humans and vice versa.
