Wollongong City Council Civil Engineering Work Integrated Learning Scholarship

Job Description:Wollongong City Council is an innovative and diverse organisation which employs over 1,000 employees across 500 job titles covering the 140 services they provide the local community.
Wollongong City Council is offering an Engineering Scholarship in the Construction and Maintenance of Civil Infrastructure. The student will be reviewing and analysing Civil Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance in a Local Government Environment. This experience will be an excellent starting point for potential research in ENGG452.

Area of Study: Civil Engineering
Level of Enrolment: 3rd Year
Duration of scholarship: 1 year
Value Per Annum: $10,500

Scholarship Commence: 2010

Criteria:
Applicants for the sponsored Scholarship must meet and address the following criteria:
o Must be enrolled full-time in their 3rd year in a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the University of Wollongong in 2010 and the duration of the scholarship.
o Applicants must remain enrolled full time for the duration of the scholarship
o Must be eligible to commence ENGG452 in Autumn 2011
o Must achieve and maintain a credit average for duration of scholarship.
o Must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
o Must undertake 12 weeks of work experience during the summer break of 2010/2011. Must be enrolled at UOW during entire work experience period.

o A brief cover letter and resume and outline of community involvement
o A photocopy of your academic records
o A one page outline of how the scholarship will assist you in your career ambitions.
o Please submit 3 copies of ALL PAGES of your application package (as the sponsor will be forwarded a copy)
