The Red Pockets Scholarship for University of Minnesota students to incorporate an educational or research experience in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Macau.
The Red Pockets Scholarship was created in 2004 as the result of generous donations to the China Center’s annual fund drive in honor of its 25th anniversary. The scholarship will provide an opportunity for University of Minnesota students to incorporate an educational or research experience in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Macau as part of their academic studies, internships, research, or professional training. The scholarship will be used for the payment, partially or totally, of travel or tuition. Awards are between $250 and $1,500.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the University of Minnesota
- Applicant must be in good academic standing, with at least a 3.0 GPA, with potential in their field
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Application will be reviewed by a committee; scholarship recipients will be notified of scholarship awards by mail approximately three weeks after the application deadline.
